Amazing Thailand Samui
The town on Samui is named Nathon. You will find banks, post offices, restaurants, stores and shops here, but it's is not a place where so many people choose to stay at. Nathon also has a rather long pier where boats from mainland of Thailand arrives.

Some tourists started to come here in early 70s, when the only business here were coconuts and fishing. I went to Samui first time in 1989-90. Electrical power cuts were then so common, you didn't even notice them. Of course prices were lower (Khao phed gai; fried rice with chicken was 10 bath) But as Samui has become a very popular tourist destination, prices is of course higher today, even if they still can be considered as very reasonable. Many hope that Samui stay at least a little more relaxed then Phuket and Pattaya but time will show.

Beaches Most beaches has white sand and are fringed with coconut palms. Many resorts and hotels are located just a couple of meters from the beach. The most popular

Chaweng Beach is the most famous and beautiful beach on Samui Island, and also the longest beach on Samui Island with 6 km distance. Chaweng Beach was separated to 4 parts; North Chaweng Beach located on northernmost, Central Chaweng Beach located on the middle, South Chaweng and Chaweng Noi Beach located on southernmost. Chaweng beach has a bight shape and it's not too deep so you will see the tourist swimming, sun-bathing, kayaking, parasailing, sailing and doing others beach activities. Nearby, you can go for paintball and shooting. With the charming of the white sand and crystal blue-sky sea make the Chaweang Beach rapidly become a popular place among tourists and also the center of travel business on Samui Island or Koh Samui. Chaweng Beach

Bophut Beach
is one of the main beachs in Koh Samui Island. Bophut beach has Big Buddha beside and next is Maenam Beach. Bophut Beach is one of oldest beaches on the Island. The beach is quite quiet part which visitors can enjoy the natural as well there are also activities to do and people to join. As the beach is also near to the Big Buddha, so that it is not tough to find stuff around the area. Big Buddha is one famous attraction that is why. Bophut Beach is a mid-range comparing with other beaches in the Island. There is Fisherman's Village appeared. Directly out of the Fisherman Village is not so nice for swimming, but it is constantly improved and it should be gone for it.
Lamai Beach, it is one of the famous beaches in Koh Samui Island, Thailand. Well, Lamai Beach was the liveliest beach before, but now Chaweng Beach is. These beaches are near to each other anyway. Lamai Beach is still the second famous beach and is the place for great visited that you can find any kinds of entertainment stuff and natural, and sure thing, deeply fun! Lamai Beach is next southern of Chaweng Beach you can walk through. Bars and restaurants can be found here, even crazy clubs. It is suitable for mostly laid back people who want to enjoy life and have fun! The beach displays very white sand and clear water. Lamai Beach
Maenam Beach Maenam Beach is one of the main beaches on Koh Samui Island in Surat Thani, south of Thailand which is named as golden sands with coconut tress covered. The Beach is next to Bophut Beach. There are superior facilities available, but yet of lively noisy places are around. Maenam Beach is quiet part which it is the ideal of mostly families and couples. Maenam Beach takes few minutes to the entrance of a pier. As it is the peaceful beach in the entrance side of the Island, so that it can be the place for visitors who want to be calm and chilled where is suitability.
